Quality standard
Every lot is graded and tested to ISO 3632:2011, the international specification for saffron, covering crocin (colour), picrocrocin (taste), safranal (aroma) and moisture. Lot-level results are recorded on a certificate of analysis shipped with each order.
Food safety
Processing and packing operations follow HACCP-based food-safety procedures and GMP. Facilities are HALAL-certified. Allergen statement: saffron is processed in a facility that handles no major allergens (no nuts, dairy, gluten, soy, egg, fish or shellfish).
Traceability
Lot codes are traceable from the inner pack to the cooperative farm, harvest date and drying batch within our cooperative network in the Persian highlands.
